Monica A. Tucker - December 1, 2004

Monica A. Tucker, 80, of Quincy, formerly of Minonk, died at 8 a.m. Wednesday (Dec. 1, 2004) at Blessing Hospital, Quincy.

Her funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church, Minonk, the Rev. Richard Olson and Rev. Harry Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Minonk Township Cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour before services at the church. Memorials may be made to the Minonk Baptist Church.

Calvert & Froelich Memorial Home, Minonk, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Dec. 3, 1923, in Litchfield, Ky., the daughter of Robert A. and Anna Ailene Wells Goff. She married Melvin L. Tucker on Aug. 22, 1943, in Minonk. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Martha (John) Walke, Abilene, Texas, and Mary (Bill) Shields, Independence, Mo.; two sons, James (Eileen) Tucker, Quincy, and Joseph Tucker, Odessa, Texas; one brother, Thomas Goff of Annapolis, Md.; one sister, Jackie Goff, Arlington, Va.; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Minonk.
